Does online dating work?
- What are your experiences?
- Have you met a partner online?
- What would be your advice to someone using online dating?
Here are some reactions I have received & my thoughts to them
Graham, My experience tells me that it can work but people online need to be more honest.
GT: I agree – it starts with being honest with yourself on what you are looking for – Then make sure you’re honest in putting your profile together. Don’t be afraid to put stuff in there that you may think others might be put off by. There will be someone out there looking for your type so be honest.
Graham- I met the man of my dreams later on in life on a dating web site, it was a route that I’d never considered in the past but glad I went for it.
GT: The perception of online dating has thankfully changed – it’s no longer seen as a desperate way to finding love – in fact quite the opposite, today it’s seen as the number one way to met a new partner.
Graham – There can be a lot of players out there so be careful when meeting up with anyone.
GT: True, but that can be said in any way of meeting someone new. My advice is: be choosy in anyone you make contact with – be open minded & make sure you message each other a lot before going on a date – Above all don’t fall in love at the drop of a hat.
